JOYCE LOUISE KILLEBREW AUTHOR, CAREER-EDUCATOR, LYRICIST
Born in Harlem, New York, Joyce Louise Killebrew attained her bachelor of arts degree in English from the University of the District of Columbia and master of arts in teaching from Trinity University.
She taught in the District of Columbia Schools and as an instructor at Prince George’s Community College. An expert in pedagogies, she has developed educational reading programs that foster mastery of literary skills.

My latest book is entitled: DISCONNECT RECONNECT; it is written by an elderly black-skinned female who is an humanitarian who now practices agape. Joyce Louise Killebrew has come to believe that the most powerful emotion on earth is the power of love because she has come to realize that as it has been stated that, “only love can conquer hate.” Now, all of the authors whose books that I have read are dancing in my head and here “I am in heaven” because I love what they have taught me : Dunbar, Churchill. DuBois, James,Brown, Frazier. Pope, Cleaver,Milton, Blake,Haley,Davis,Dumas,Poe,Shakespeare, Camus, Baldwin, Oats, Potter, Angelou, Hawthorne,,Keats, Kennedy.

Off the field you talked to the youth about their goals, telling them to pass their tests in schools and to remember to be cool You cautioned them not to be fooled
You even told them how you had been helped, and promised them that one day you would become a helper too Well, wow! Wow! Mr. Green you are still alive and showing us you just don’t “jive”
What a man! Darrell Green is on the scene and we salute you for all you say, but most for all you do. What a man! We appreciate men like you who give a “hoot” and give our boots some straps.
